The objectives of the OTOA Region & County Representative is to coordinate with the Vice President and Director of Regional Representatives in the following tasks and responsibilities:
Identify tactical teams within their respective region and document the following:
Identify Police Departments and Sheriff Offices within their respective region and document the following:
Identify correctional facilities and jails within their respective region and document the following:
Encourage and solicit membership renewals and or initiate members into the OTOA.
If OTOA Region or County Representative recognize someone who would make a good County Rep, contact the OTOA Vice President or Director of Region and County Representatives with their contact info, for approval and appointment.
Support the publication of the OTOA Operator Magazine.
Promptly notify the OTOA Secretary with changes in the following: email address, cell phone, home address, place of employment and any relevant information that could affect your OTOA staff status or the status of another OTOA staff member.
Assist the Director of Training with the organization and implementation of training programs in his or her region.
Ascertain training deficiencies within the region and coordinate one (1) training event with the OTOA Training Operations Manager.
Training within the regions is a collaborative effort between the OTOA Region & County Representative, OTOA Training Manager and supervised by the OTOA Training Director.
Disseminate current OTOA news and OTOA training opportunities within the region by means of the following:
Perform any other duties as assigned by the President / Executive Director or the Board of Directors.
Coordinate an annual Commanders / Team Leader Information Sharing Summit.
It is the sole responsibility of the OTOA Region & County Representatives to organize, facilitate and carry out all pre and post Commanders / Team Leader Information Sharing Summit duties, including but not limited to:
