David Roose

OTOA Executive Board

End of watch August 4, 2022

We share this with a heavy heart…..Dave Roose: end of watch, August 4, 2022.
Friend, brother, and an integral member of the OTOA Executive Board of Directors.
David Gerald “Dave” Roose passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 4, 2022, in Houston, at the age of 48 from a motorcycle accident. He was born on February 2, 1974, in Alliance, Ohio to Gerald Lee and the late Toni Zurbrugg Roose.
Dave was a detective for the Euclid, Ohio Police Department for 15 years before retiring in 2014 and serving on the board of directors for the Ohio Tactical Officer’s Association as treasurer.
He assisted as a Reserve Deputy for the Fulshear Police Department and was the owner of PROforma Prana from 2005 until his death. Prana created print and promotional products for many industries including the Police Athletic/Activities Leagues (PAL) across the United States. For the last five years, he has worked for the DEA and was a group supervisor for the digital evidence laboratory in Houston. Dave was an ever-proud law enforcement officer who enjoyed serving the people and interacting with the community. Between his work with the DEA and Prana, he was always working hard in everything he did for the benefit of his family.
Dave constantly had a smile on his face and was known to light up the room. Often seen in his cowboy boots, he enjoyed joking around and having good times with family and friends. He and his family attended St. Faustina Catholic Church, in Fulshear.
