The OTOA Life Saving Award is presented to the officer who has put themselves at risk of serious physical harm to save another person who is in imminent danger of death.

Nominations eligible for review must be from the previous year or earlier.  

All nominations must include the following:

• Full name of the individual nominated for the award.
• Department/Agency of the individual nominated for the award..
• Documentation of the event: A synopsis of the event in paragraph form.
• A contact person to verify the event, actions, or conduct.

Awards Presentation during the Opening Ceremony at the General Session on Monday of Conference Week at 8 am - Kalahari Resorts & Convention Center, Sandusky, Ohio

*This award is eligible for a maximum of one (1) person annually.
*Lodging and meals are NOT covered for the annual training conference registration.

*The recipient of this award shall receive complimentary registration to the Ohio Tactical Officers Association Annual Conference for five (5) consecutive years following the presentation of the award. Lodging and travel expenses are not included.
