Andrew Humar

Andrew Humar has been a dedicated member of the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office since 2012. He began his career in the patrol division before transitioning in 2014 to his current role as a Detective in the Narcotics Division, where he specializes in complex investigations.
Andrew’s investigative expertise includes assignments on several multi-agency task forces, such as Auto Theft, Organized Crime, and Regional Narcotics Task Forces, providing him with a broad perspective on criminal operations and interdiction efforts.
In addition to his investigative work, Andrew has taken on multiple collateral duty training roles within the sheriff’s office, serving as a Taser CEW Instructor, Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Instructor, and Defensive Tactics/Subject Control Instructor—helping to ensure officer readiness and safety.
Since 2013, Andrew has been an integral member of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Regional SWAT Team. He started as a less-lethal/impact munitions and tactics instructor, progressed to Assistant Team Leader, and currently serves as the Team Leader, overseeing tactical operations and training.
