Carla J. Schaffer is a dedicated law enforcement officer with over a decade of experience in patrol, K9 operations, and tactical response. She currently serves with the Clyde Police Department as a Patrolman and K9 Handler, where she combines proactive community policing with specialized tactical skills.
Carla is the Assistant Team Leader for the Sandusky County Regional Special Response Team (SRT), leading tactical training exercises including room clearing, officer-down drills, and callout scenarios. She also facilitates inter-agency coordination and supports active shooter response training, contributing significantly to regional public safety.
Her law enforcement career began with the Bellevue Police Department, where she served from 2013 to 2018, performing patrol duties, drug investigations, and working closely with confidential informants. Carla also gained valuable experience as a Non-Bond Officer with the Cedar Point Police Department, providing security and investigative support in a high-traffic public environment.
