Josh Bayer is a highly experienced law enforcement professional with a strong background in tactical operations, officer training, and multi-agency task force leadership. He currently serves with the Sidney Police Department and is a member of the Sidney-Piqua Tactical Response Team, bringing a decade of specialized experience to his role.
Josh is an active contributor to the Ohio Tactical Officers Association (OTOA), where he serves as both a County Representative and a member of the RED Team Cadre, instructing advanced tactical courses to officers across Ohio.
From 2011 to 2024, Josh served with the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, holding a wide range of critical positions including Deputy, Field Training Officer, Patrol Sergeant, Firearms Instructor, RDS Instructor, Task Force Officer, and Task Force Commander. His SWAT career progressed from Team Member to Team Leader and ultimately SWAT Commander, demonstrating his leadership in high-risk operational environments.
