Special Purpose Weapons System

May 4 - 6, 2021

8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Southington Hunt Club

Developed under the tutelage of Mark Lang (Dallas PD SWAT and TacFlow Academy), the OTOA Special Purpose Weapons System Course is intended to provide the Sniper / Observer a base of training to enable safe and effective deployment with a special application rifle (.50 Cal/338, 300 Win Mag).

Current domestic & international terrorist trends indicate a need for this capability as we continue to see vehicles used as weapons against our citizens.

This is a hands-on, high-intensity course in which students practice tactics and techniques in the field

This course is restricted to OTOA Members that are sworn officers of a United States governmental agency.

This is an advanced training course and students must have completed a Basic Sniper / Observer Course prior to registration.

All OTOA courses are instructed by credentialed and experienced OTOA trainers.

All OTOA training staff are tenured police professionals with specific expertise in mentoring and coaching shooters of all levels of experience with firearms.

Please contact Darren Smykowski at darren.smykowski@otoa.org with any questions regarding the rifle, scope, ammunition, or other equipment needed for the course
